The app is designed to react to environmental cues with the device's built-in sensors (the microphone detects sounds; the accelerometer detects movement, etc.) and touch screen input when required. ThinkPlayful has been developed with the expectation that some users will only have periodic connection to the Internet. Most activities, gamification and adaptive learning features are designed to operate for extended periods without a live connection, storing data on one’s own device. When an Internet connection becomes available, the app automatically syncs with the cloud.
